The Right Time for a Dyslexia Screening

There is no such thing as a right or wrong time—only a right age. Reliable screening is generally most effective for children aged seven and older. By this stage, children have had sufficient exposure to formal education, allowing specialists to differentiate between standard learning performance and a learning difficulty. Waiting until seven ensures the results are accurate and actionable. Beyond that milestone, the best time to test is always now. Whether a child is eight or eighteen, identifying their unique learning profile is the first step toward unlocking their full potential and restoring their confidence.
