Meet a re-enactment group portraying the First Cohort of Tungrians from what is now Belgium. Explore their encampment, discover Roman food, arms & armour, & learn about daily life on Hadrian’s Wall. Children can try on equipment, take part in drills, & watch Roman Army demonstrations throughout the day. Sat 11am-3pm, Sun 1-4pm. Free, no need to book, donations welcome.
