This summer Gillmoss Materials Recovery Facility near Liverpool is hosting an open day for residents to see what happens to their recycling after it’s been collected. With it being the Year of the Environment for the Liverpool City Region it’s a great time to find out if you recycle correctly, take a tour of the facility and see how technology is used to turn the recycling we throw away into a resource. There will be hands on activities for children and top tips on how people can reduce, reuse and recycle. The open day is on Thursday 22nd August, 10am until 2pm.
