Award-Winning Performing Arts Network Arrives in Preston

Children and young people in Preston now have the chance to discover the joy of performing arts thanks to the launch of Razzamataz Preston, led by local businesswoman and performer Lorraine Kearney. The school is part of the multi-award-winning, Dragons’ Den backed network that is celebrating 25 years of inspiring young people through performing arts education.

Classes take place every Saturday at Ashton Community Science College, offering students aged 4–18 the chance to take part in high-quality singing, dancing and acting lessons, no previous experience needed.

“Our mission is to make performing arts accessible to every child, regardless of their background or ability,” says Lorraine. “We want students to have fun, grow in confidence and discover their own unique talents.”

Razzamataz is about much more than putting on a show. Students are encouraged to express themselves, develop resilience and work as part of a team, skills that benefit them far beyond the stage.

New students can expect a huge warm welcome from everyone. Students at Razzamataz Preston will have the chance to take part in exciting performance opportunities throughout the year, from local showcases to prestigious West End gala events and even trips abroad.

Lorraine says that building a welcoming community is at the heart of what she is creating.

“It is important that our students feel safe and supported so we make sure they understand exactly what is expected of them to feel confident,” Lorraine explains.
