Local Theatre School Opens Its Doors to Pendle Families with Free Open Day
Families in Pendle are invited to discover the magic of theatre as Footlights Theatre School Pendlehosts afree Open Day on Saturday 31 January.
The Open Day at Pendle Vale College, offers children and young people the chance to explore acting, singing and dancing in a fun, friendly and supportive environment – with parents/carers able to find out more about how theatre training can help build confidence, creativity and life skills.
Footlights Theatre School is well known across the region, with successful schools already established in Rochdale and Rossendale. The Pendle branch brings the same high standard of professional teaching and care to local children, led by Director Aaron Doherty-Tubb and his team of experienced staff who are passionate about helping every child shine.
Footlights Pendle are already building strong links in the community and are setting up a competition team that will be involved in community performances.
During the Open Day, families will be able to meet the Footlights Pendle teaching team, learn about the weekly acting, dancing and singing classes on offer, see how performing arts can boost confidence, teamwork and self-belief and sign up for a free trial class with no obligation.
“We believe every child deserves the chance to express themselves creatively, regardless of background,” said Aaron Doherty-Tubb, Director of Footlights Pendle. “Our Pendle classes are all about inclusion, encouragement and giving children a safe space to grow, make friends and have fun. We look forward to welcoming new families to our Open Day.”
The Open Day is completely free to attend and open to children aged three to eighteen. No previous experience is needed, just enthusiasm and curiosity. The Open Day will be split into three sessions with children aged 3 to 4 invited from 9.30am to 11am, ages 5 to 6 from 11.30am to 1pm and ages 7 to 18 from 9.45am to 1pm.
Footlights Pendle hopes the Open Day will encourage more local families to discover what’s available right on their doorstep and to see first-hand the positive impact performing arts can have on young people.
