Summer’s on track at the Kent & East Sussex Railway!
Recently crowned Muddy Stilettos' 'Best Family Experience in Kent', the Kent & East Sussex Railway has special events and money-saving offers to help family budgets go further this summer.
‘Kids Go Free’ is back for all under 16s travelling with a fare-paying adult on regular services from 23rd July to 30th August, while the Summer Season ticket provides unlimited travel for adults and seniors living in TN postcodes (proof of address required for purchase and each journey). Both offers apply on the 08:45 Early Bird service running most Wednesdays and Saturdays over the same period.
In terms of events, the Diesel Gala (Friday 18th - Sunday 20th July) has a packed programme of iconic diesel services, with locomotive driving opportunities for adults at Tenterden Town Station. Advanced booking is strongly recommended for this exciting event.
Train Time UK will be at Tenterden Town Station Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st August, offering free interactive train track stay and play sessions for under-fives from 10:30am - 4:30pm.
On Saturday 30th August the railway is holding its first model railway exhibition with a huge variety of different displays. Diminutive steam train ‘Marcia’ will also be operating and rides on a charming 5" gauge railway are also available for a small additional donation.
