Step Back in Time at Leeds Castle This May

Visit Leeds Castle for The Queen’s Joust, from 24th to 26th May, for an exhilarating weekend of medieval competition, where armoured knights charge into battle in a gripping contest of strength, skill, and spectacle. Gasp as lances shatter, cheer for your champion, and watch as England, France, and Norway compete for the coveted cup and the Queen’s favour.

This year, they welcome a tri-nation competition like no other, with teams from Norway and a new French contingent entering the battle. For the first time, each team will feature a female jouster, bringing even more excitement to the field. Expect bold displays of combat, equestrian skill, and medieval living, brought vividly to life for visitors of all ages.

Additionally, this May half term, set out on A Horrible Histories Measly Medieval Mission, from 27th May to 1st June. Discover the horribly historic and often smelly truths of life in medieval times. Hear tales of marvellous medieval medicine and even concoct your own cure in the Castle Apothecary.

Both events are included with your admission, offering even more reasons to make a day of it. Explore the historic Castle, get lost in the famous Maze, and let little adventurers run wild across three fantastic playgrounds.
