Share a Story for World Book Day at The Marlowes Shopping Centre

The Marlowes is celebrating World Book Day this March 5th by bringing stories to life inside the shopping centre and around Hemel Hempstead.

Starting on World Book Day (Thursday 5th March) and running until Sunday 8th March, fun and interactive story telling sessions will be taking place in the shopping centre, with an additional quiet hour for guests to relax and enjoy their favourite books.

The Marlowes will also be hosting a competition encouraging children to search for 50 books that will be hidden around Hemel Hempstead during the 3 day event. Children wishing to take part in the Book Hunt Challenge must find the books, read them and then hide them elsewhere for another to find, with a special book bundle prize for the winner of the competition.

To mark the annual awareness day, The Marlowes will also be offering shoppers the chance to help the planet and save money with their costume swap campaign, where shoppers are invited to bring a clean, gently used character costume to Guest Services in the centre of the shopping centre and swap it for another donated costume. Donations will also be accepted with costumes being provided for those without one to swap.

Storytelling sessions will take place Thursday 5th March 2020 from 1:30-5:30pm, Friday 6th March 2020 from 1:30-5:30pm, Saturday 7th March 11am- 3pm and Sunday 8th March 11am-3pm. Quiet hour will take place on Sunday 8th March from 11am-12pm.
