Why is Ballet Training good for young children?

The physical benefits of learning Ballet as a young person are best summed up by the amazing Gold Medallist Katrina Johnson Thompson in an article she wrote acknowleding Ballet as the secret to her jumping success.

These attributes are core strength, agility, flexibility and physical control.

What we also know is that Ballet is great for the mind. Significant studies in Germany have shown that the methodology of Ballet training enhances memory skills as well as building confidence and concentration.

These skills are life enhancing and a regular Ballet class each week for young children will help them learn smart.

The structure of classes at Carter School of Dance encourages this active learning and creativity.

Carter School of Dance is approved as a Recognised School for dance training by the Council for Dance Drama and Musical Theatre
