Early Times

Furzefield Leisure Centre

Potters Bar’s Furzeeld Centre, is bringing new and improved facilities to the local community. It now has a purpose-built soft play and climbing area, with an integrated café and seating area.

The new Soft Play over three stories has baby, toddler and adventure zones. The new Climbing zone is suitable for children from four years and older and is also great for adults. Climbers take on the challenge of 17 different walls including a dice tower and giant staircase. Both the soft play and climbing areas make the perfect day out or a birthday party treat. The centre’s gym has been equipped with a dedicated functional area and modern gym equipment from Matrix and TechnoGym and customers can take part in Stages Flight, a cycling class where individuals can experience a cycling journey within a group environment in the new group immersive cycling studios.

A new luxury Spa facility, offering a range of experiences and treatments will be a destination for ultimate relaxation and wellbeing. Whilst improvements to reception areas and changing facilities will complete the project by Summer 2019.

Do head lice only like clean hair?

The truth is that head lice love any hair be it curly, straight, dark, fair, male or female. To them hair is their way to get to your scalp so they can feed on your blood. They inject their saliva into your skin to keep your blood. It is the saliva that makes you itch - if you allergic to the saliva. Only one in three people itch and for those it can be the ones that don't itch that have heavier infestation when detected. Head lice spread quicker through loving families that hug and cuddle.
