De Montfort School, Four Pools Road, Evesham, WR11 1DQ. The Wychavon Festival of Brass (WFB) Entertainment Contest attracts brass bands from across the UK and this year, from Bavaria in Germany. A brass band competition of growing national and international importance, Wychavon offers everyone a wonderful day out! On show will be a fantastic mix of every style and genre of music composed or arranged for brass band. Well over fifty bands compete for lucrative prizes so any visitor to the contest is sure to see the very best that bands can play and do! The bands really spread their wings and deliver not only an eclectic mix of musical styles but also throw in a lot of visual choreography, films and use props to ensure their performance attracts the attention of the judges! Twelve hours of music in four competition halls is the order of the day. And 2019 sees WFB celebrate thirty years of success in delivering on of the UK’s most beloved contests.
