If you’re looking for a better work-life balance, with flexible working from home, childminding could be for you!
As a parent or guardian, you already have many of the skills needed to be a great childminder.
If you’re passionate about contributing to children’s learning and development and have been looking for an opportunity for change, a package of support is available to help you get started in childminding.
Robyn, a childminder in Dundee, loves her job, especially the work-life balance it provides: “To be trusted to nurture the children and shape them is such a privilege. I also know how fast kids grow up! I wanted a job that I loved and one that meant I could be around my own kids and watch them grow because you can’t get that time back. Childminding fits around my family life, and I’ll be eternally grateful for that.”
The Programme for Scotland’s Childminding Future offers:
• One-to-one support from a dedicated SCMA Workforce Officer
• Minimum £750 business start-up grant
• Free online training and access to free Continuous Professional Learning
