Local Artisan Market returns to The Baytree this September
The Baytree Shopping Centre is inviting shoppers to support local businesses and give back to the community when its Local Artisan Market returns this September.
Taking place on Saturday 19th September from 10am until 4pm, the free to attend market will welcome a fantastic selection of local makers, creators and independent traders to the centre, giving visitors the chance to shop small and discover something new*.
Held in partnership with Local Artisan Markets, the event forms part of a regular programme of markets at The Baytree, taking place on the third Saturday of each month and encouraging shoppers to support small businesses while discovering something a little different. The following Local Artisan Market will be hosted on Saturday 17th October, 10am until 4pm.
To celebrate National Food Bank Day on Friday 4th September, The Baytree is also encouraging everyone visiting the market to help support those in need within the local community by bringing along a food donation. Poundland at The Baytree has a new Brentwood Foodbank donation point in store, making it easy for market visitors to combine supporting local businesses with supporting local people. Shoppers can simply bring an item with them or pick up an additional food item during their visit and place it in the donation point.
Maria Kyriacou-Edwards from The Baytree Shopping Centre commented: “Our Local Artisan Market is all about bringing the community together and supporting local, so National Food Bank Day on Friday 4th September provides the perfect opportunity to take that community spirit one step further. We’d love everyone coming along to enjoy the market to consider bringing a food donation with them or picking up an extra item while they’re here. Even one small donation can make a difference, and together we hope our shoppers can show some fantastic support for the local community.”
