Festival Leisure Park brings festive magic to Basildon this December
Festival Leisure Park is set to sparkle this December with a programme of festive events designed to delight families and spread Christmas cheer across Basildon.
Kicking off the celebrations on Saturday 13th December, the park’s mischievous elves will be “on the loose,” bringing cheeky fun, festive chaos and plenty of giggles as they patrol Santa’s route with their playful twist on “Elf & Safety.” Visitors can enjoy their roaming performances between 12:30pm and 4:30pm, while also browsing the Local Artisan Market from 12pm–6pm.
The festivities continue on Saturday 20th December as the Grinch comes to cause his signature mischief. Appearing at intervals between 12:30pm and 4:30pm, he’ll be popping up for photos, giggles and plenty of Grinchy entertainment for the whole family. The Local Artisan Market will once again run in the Atrium from 12pm–6pm.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Christmas Corner has returned for the season, bringing a full line-up of festive fun including dodgems, the twister, candy-cane bungee trampolines, marshmallow toasting over a cosy fire, Christmas games and visits from Santa. Running until Sunday 4th January, it opens weekdays from 4:30pm, weekends from 1pm, and daily from 15th December. Rides operate on a token system, £1.20 each or 10 for £10, with opportunities to earn bonus tokens from restaurants and leisure venues, plus 2-token rides every Thursday. Christmas Corner will be closed on Christmas Day but reopens on Boxing Day to continue the festive magic.
Matthew Chambers, Centre Manager at Festival Leisure Park, commented “We’re so excited to bring even more festive magic to Festival Leisure Park this December. From roaming elves and Grinchy mischief to artisan markets and Christmas Corner, there’s something for every family to enjoy."
With festive characters, artisan markets, magical attractions and special family moments, Festival Leisure Park promises a December full of sparkle, mischief and memory-making.
