If you're thinking about a career change or returning to work, consider the childminding and early years Skills Bootcamps offered by Essex County Council and delivered by The International Education Group, supported by the Essex Year of Opportunity.
The Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for Essex residents aged 19+. The courses are designed to help people find new, exciting careers, and help meet the growing demand for quality childcare. By getting the skills to become a childminder or early years professional, you’ll embark on a rewarding career working with children.
The 16-week courses include a mix of in person and live online sessions. All learners will also be guaranteed a job interview upon completion.
Become an OFSTED registered childminder - This course is ideal for people looking to start or progress a career in childcare. The sessions include paediatric first aid and Level 2 food hygiene. There’s also support for how to set-up your own business and build your customer base.
SEND and communication in early years - This course is perfect for people looking to become an Early Years Educator or Teaching Assistant. You’ll make a positive impact on children’s lives. The course focuses on special needs and disability, speech, language and communication, as well as an introduction to Makaton.
