I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this show for a bit of good old fashioned family entertainment, complete with the innocent input that young children bring to a well known and loved story - Claire Percival

Review

This show is an absolute must for young children and their grown up companions!  It has everything a small child could ask for in a show - fun, laughter, puppets, familiarity, and a performer who is not phased by the unscripted input of excited audience members.  We even had a wee lesson in how to make bread.

The show tells the familiar stories of Chicken Licken and then what happens to her when she grows up to become the Little Red Hen. It is held together by one very talented individual and his cast of equally talented puppets and friends. Hannah (5) said, 'I was waiting for other people to come on stage, but it was just a clever funny man'. He took heckling from 3 year olds in his stride, and as a parent, that only added to the appeal that the children felt able to interact. He encouraged the audience to join in at various points, and adults and children alike took no second asking to enthusiastically participate.

The stories were told creatively, with just enough suspense and 'boo, hiss' moments not to scare the target audience. Sophie (2) was glued to her seat and said, 'I loved Foxy Loxy.  His tongue was funny'.  Hannah (5) said, 'Chicken Licken was my favourite character.  She made me laugh'.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this show for a bit of good old fashioned family entertainment, complete with the innocent input that young children bring to a well known and loved story.
