This is a really sweet production of a classic tale. With all the audience sitting on cushions in the room where the set is, it feels really special. The set is very cleverly designed with a bed for the house scenes and flowers and fairy lights for the secret garden. The costumes are authentic and the actors are a real treat to watch, they had very convincing accents and beautiful singing voices. My 7 year old said “I want to watch it all over again” when we came out. My 4 year old “really liked the singing”. This is really well acted, and it has some lovely songs. There is a very cute wooden robin puppet which makes it feel even more a treat. It is meant for 7 year olds but my 4 and 5 year old really enjoyed it and sat totally engrossed – as did I.
