This show may not have the glitter and glitz we have become use to with ice skating but the high skill level was definitely there.
This show is performed by a Canadian group – Le Patin Libre – The world’s first contemporary ice skating company founded on frozen ponds in Canada.
There is a relaxed peaceful feel to the show. The company embraced their audience making them feel included in the performance with guessing games added to their sketches. The setting although simple was effective and their routine beautiful. Lots of feeling and emotion.
After the 40 min performance everybody joined in an ice-skating party! The performers mixed well helping and teaching simple dance routines. A lot of fun for all ages of all abilities.
Donald age 11 – I liked the humour how they can make it funny and serious at the same time.
Lottie age 14 – I thought it was cool when they attached microphones to their boots and we had to guess the songs just from noise the blades made on the ice …..I got the Michael Jackson Billie Jean straight away!!
