Land of the Dragon

Jake (age 8) said it was ‘very spooky in a good way’ and his favourite part was when the red dragons flew in the sky together.  Anna (age 6) liked the part when the dog kept barking to wake up his owner.   She said she was ‘going to play with puppets’ as her job when she grew up!   A beautifully crafted production – fans of puppetry get your tickets now.

Land of the Dragon – Gwlad  y Ddraig

This entrancing production from PuppetSoup draws on Welsh Mythology to provide a bewitching performance from the creative puppeteers.  Red and white dragons, witches, dogs, sheep and all kinds of magical creatures combine to explore the tale of the baby who grows into a man on a mission - guarding the dragon’s egg until the day comes when he embarks on a quest to return it home.

The imaginative stage set is a perfect backdrop for the stunning puppetry and the watching children are engrossed throughout.   The English narration is also delivered in Welsh and is spellbinding.  The accomplished troupe combine puppetry, physical theatre and song to deliver an engaging performance.
