Edinburgh Fringe Children's Show review
Nick Cope’s family songbook delighted the packed audience in the Wee Room! This was a lovely start to a hectic fringe Saturday. Nick sings children’s songs with his own accompaniment on the guitar. Our favourite songs of the show were “Grow Grow Grow”, “The Pirate’s Breakfast” and the very cheeky “The Baby’s Done a Poo!” There was lots of singing along by the audience, lots of joining in with actions, a bit of audience participation with Nick on the wee stage, quite a few jokes and even the tiniest bit of discrete politics to keep the Mums and Dads happy!
The younger members of the audience, and even the babies, were completely absorbed in Nick’s child-friendly chat, and were obviously delighted by his songs. I would say that this is probably a show for younger children as advertised below aged 6 to 8. A great fringe introduction for very small people!
