Hit the refresh button: rediscover your potential in 2022

Ready for a new direction?

If you’re a stay-at-home mum looking to get back into education or work, help is at hand.

We all know it’s not easy being a mum. When you give up work to focus on family life, you get used to putting others first. And if you’ve been at home for a while, the thought of getting your career back on track can be a daunting prospect. But there’s no better time than now.

Triage provides friendly, free support to help you improve your skills and reach your career goals. The Review, Refresh, Return programme runs across Scotland and provides tailor-made services for women aged 25 and over who have been unemployed for six months or more. Support is provided in one-to-one or group sessions, online and in-person, led by specialist advisers.

There’s no obligation to apply for jobs; you move forward at your own pace. Emphasis is placed on helping you to juggle childcare responsibilities and manage back-to-work anxiety. Our advisers will review your previous experience and help you refresh your CV, brush up on interview techniques and improve your IT skills. We will guide you every step of the way as you explore career opportunities or access to further education.

The programme supports women from all walks of life, including those with disabilities or health conditions; women from minority backgrounds; the over-50s; single mums; women from veteran families; those experiencing conflict at home, and women in isolated rural areas.
