2016 Children's Choice Award was awarded to Circus Trick Tease for their show Children are Stinky & it was their first award at Edinburgh Fringe too!

They've had a pretty awesome year since winning the award which has turned their lives upside down, in a good way!

Malia Walsh from Circus Trick Tease told Primary Times what has happened since winning the Primary Times Children's Choice Award at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe:

“It’s almost been a year since Edinburgh and boy, this little stinky show has turned into a hurricane! It’s all been a bit overwhelming so we calculated some numbers.

32,272 amazing audience members, 848 handstands, 530 audience volunteers, 21 eggs smashed on Kylie’s face, 106 shows, 58 flights, 16 spontaneous kids on stage, 13 different cities, 3 awards, 2 broken fingers and 1 surprise kangaroo backstage… I know right, long story!

Winning the Primary Times Children’s Choice Award has turned our lives upside down. From Beijing, America and all over Australia. We’ve shared stages with The Wiggles, La Soirée and Tom Binns but our hearts are with the Scots and we are so excited to be back.

It has been an incredible year of new experiences and unimaginable heights… a total worldwide whirlwind! Thank you again Primary Times, you have really made our dreams come true. We heart Edinburgh.”
