Colours of Redbridge are bringing a programme of free arts and culture to East London later this summer, and it’s bigger and better than before.
The projects include: a touring South-Asian-inspired Truck Art truck celebrating local heritage and identity; an immersive food festival at sunset called ‘The Golden Hour’ which celebrates food traditions and memories; and a family-friendly street parade featuring a giant creature made out of bicycle parts. All events are designed by local communities alongside world-class artists and creatives.
There will also be a return of their Dance For Fitness programme, recently visited by Strictly’s Angela Rippon and local MP Wes Streeting, working with older residents and people with disabilities.
If you live, work or study in Redbridge, you must see what’s on, as there’s something for everyone. Most activities are totally free!
Visit www.colours.red for more information, find them on Instagram or Facebook, or call 020 8708 2858 (option 4). The phone service is provided by Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure.
