Autumn is just around the corner, and Derby LIVE has a spectacular line-up of events to help you make the most of the season!
With a free arts festival and a fabulous festive season including the annual panto, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
First, don't miss the return of Derby Festé on Saturday 27th September. This free outdoor experience brings the streets to life with a spectacular mix of dance, theatre, circus, and aerial performance. With plenty of family-friendly, non-verbal performances, Derby Festé is a day of captivating art accessible to all.
Then, on Monday 29th December, celebrate the start of Festive Derby! The day kicks off with the opening of The Cathedral Quarter Ice Rink and Nordic Bar. Followed by the Derby’s Christmas Light Switch On. Gather your friends and family and enjoy free entertainment, a stage show from Smooth Radio, and the magical Lantern Parade.
Get your skates on and glide into the festive season at the covered Cathedral Quarter Ice Rink, from Monday 29th to Wednesday 31st December. It's the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit, whether you're a seasoned skater or just finding your feet. Toddler sessions are available with under 5s going free.
Finally, from Friday 5th to Wednesday 31st December, join Dick Whittington on his quest for fame and fortune! With the help of Fairy Bow Bells and his trusty cat, he must stop the evil Queen Rat from taking over the world. This festive family panto promises stunning sets, fantastic frocks, lavish musical numbers, and side-splitting slapstick. Get your tickets now for a purr-fect Christmas treat!
