Once again Schools Out Club are running their popular Summer Holiday Club from Friday 27th July to 1st September at St Benedict’s School, plus 4th & 5th September at St John’s, for ages 3 to 14 years. It offers separate areas for younger and older children, fabulous facilities and resources, and lots of fun indoor and outdoor activities and trips children love to do during the long summer holidays.
With 3 qualified, resident sports coaches and a dance instructor there will be lots of opportunity to learn new skills with our Football and Dance Academies that will run throughout each week (at no extra cost). Craft, cookery, and sports activities will be available every day giving children the opportunity to practice their skills whilst learning interesting facts, use their imagination and make new friends.
Each week will see a different theme to the activities and special events: Let’s get Started, Holiday at Home, Hocus Pocus, Festival Week, Superhero’s, Under the Sea and Serious Science. Children will especially enjoy the start to summer with hula skirts and mini surf boards to make, make a Top Ten Places to visit during Holiday at Home, as well as onsite picnics and games. The chance to take part in their very own Festival, create, sing, dance, play or just sit and enjoy! Be a witch, wizard or dragon for the day and join in lots of themed activities and games. There’ll be pamper nights, themed party time, dance competitions, den making, night @ the movies, water fights, and 3 new bouncy castles for the bouncy castle room this summer.
Also on offer will be a varied selection of optional trips. Perhaps they would like to go exploring at Carsington Water. They can get close to the animals at National Adventure Farm or Chatsworth House & Farm, burn off some energy on the huge play areas, and don’t forget National Adventure Farm’s amazing maze. Action packed days are promised at Conkers and Wheelgate all-weather them park, with thrilling attractions & huge indoor and outdoor play areas. Energetic fun trips are planned to Tenpin Bowling, Megazone, Laser Combat, Oxygen, Footgolf and Rollerworld, plus there’ll be time to see one of the latest films at the Cinema. A traditional summer’s day out with picnic & ice-cream at Darley Park, and for the younger ones Hickory Dickory soft play centre are also in diary.
Free online registration. Full-day, school day (8.30-3.30) or morning/afternoon sessions available and lunch can be provided for a small additional cost.
