Step back almost 1,00 years into a world of the Normans as the Iron Shepherds Living History Group bring the early 1100s vividly to life inside the historic ground of Appleby Castle. See Norman warriors and armour up close, explore a living history camp inside the castle grounds, discover traditional cookery and medieval food preparation, handle weapons, tools and armour sued nearly 1,000 years ago and experience music, crafts and the atmosphere of a Norman settlement.
