Follow in the footsteps of Wordsworth's children on an Easter trail around the garden at Allan Bank, where the family once lived. The trail takes place between Saturday 28 March and Sunday 12 April 2026, from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 3.30pm, so pop up from the village of Grasmere and explore Allan Bank. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan/Free From chocolate egg. Starting with decorating your non-edible egg, you'll then be ready for Georgian inspired fun and games challenging your egg handling skills. And become a hero or a villain, by putting on a cape and picking up a play sword to re-enact your own traditional Easter ‘Pace’ play. Complete the trail and earn your chocolate egg.
