Discover the role children played in the industries that shaped the Lake District. This eye-opening, interactive exhibition will give families an insight into the lives of children as young as five who went out to work. A great exhibition to encourage grandparents to talk to their grandchildren about; what life was like when they were young. Children from a local school have helped to produce the exhibition displays with their own thoughts and artwork. The exhibition finishes looking at child labour globally in 2019 – it will make visitors question what goes into the production of the items each of us use today. This exhibition will definitely get families talking. Tickets cost adult £5, children FREE. For more information visit www.lakelandmuseum.org.uk.
