It won the Guardian Children’s Prize and was made into a film starring Saoirse Ronan. Her subsequent novels have been awarded or shortlisted for, among others, the Carnegie Medal and the National Book Award, and in 2016 Meg was awarded the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Meg lives in London with her family and their dogs.
