Fantasical Festival of Flight

New for 2024, Shuttleworth Collection and Gardens are hosting their first-ever international Festival of Flight over three days in June.

Friday 28th will see aircraft flying in from across Europe to kick-start the weekend celebrations and will include a short evening air display, culminating with the amazing spectacle of fireworks launched from an aircraft as it performs an aerobatic ballet! Throughout the festival, there will be a huge variety of ground attractions including a Fun Fair; Outdoor Cinema; Flight Simulators; Live Music; Discovery Zones; STEM Stage Shows; Vintage Bus Rides and the opportunity to explore the iconic Shuttleworth House and magical Swiss Gardens – ALL INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE.

With any Festival of Flight, the focus is always going to be drawn skyward – and with nine hours of air displays spread over all three days, this event will not disappoint! Over forty of Shuttleworth’s own amazing aircraft scheduled to fly, including their WW2 Warbirds; stunning 1930s racers; incredible WW1 survivors and, of course their 1909 Bleriot - world’s oldest flying aeroplane. There will also be over thirty visiting aerial acts - highlights include a display by the world famous Red Arrows on Saturday 29th, the Royal Air Force Typhoon Display Team on Sunday 30th, and performances throughout the weekend from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancaster.

Best of all, as with all air shows at Shuttleworth – KIDS GO FREE!
