Wilden, Beds. One of the best village fetes for miles around. The Bedford Pipe Band will march down Wilden High Street at 1pm to the Village Hall, followed by the crowning of the May Queen and Consort and Maypole dancing. There’s a Magician, Chris’s Animal Encounters and bagpipe displays. Kids can spend their pennies on the Wheel of Fortune, Pick a Lolly, Eggs in Sawdust, Treasure Hunt or Hook a Boat. Refreshments with home-made cakes. Sweets, jams, cakes and country produce on sale, as well as plants, toys, books and Shabby Chic. Adults can enjoy a Pimms with a barbecue. Free parking.
