Primary Times Avon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire is looking for enthusiastic under graduates or school  leavers with an interest in journalism to carry out two to three week work placements on  the magazine. This unpaid role offers first-hand experience in a busy publishing  environment, offering the chance to research and write features on issues affecting  families with primary school children. The role includes feature and news writing, sub-editing experience compiling our Roundabout and Theatre listings sections, picture research, liaising with the advertising  team, online updates and proofreading. You will receive an  invaluable insight into professional publishing including some training and writing advice from the editor. Most of our work experiences get their work published in print, with bylines, offering an invaluable addition to any portfolio or CV.
If you're interested, please email your CV and a sample of your writing to the editor mike.gartside@localworld.co.uk
