Happy 20th Birthday Perform!

We chatted to founder, Lucy Quick.

Working with children as a musical theatre actress inspired me to create a drama school that wasn’t about talent or auditions but instead had child development at its heart. From our very first class in Primrose Hill in 2000, we’ve used performing arts to develop what we call the 4 Cs: confidence, communication, coordination and concentration.

Today, we have 472 schools across the South East and West, over 250 teachers and almost 8000 children attending weekly - we’ve come a very long way. The amazing feedback we receive from parents about the visible different our classes make to their children’s confidence and self-esteem makes us feel really proud and so pleased that we took that big first step in 2000. We’re not franchised and run all classes ourselves and, over the past 20 years, I’m most proud of my teachers. They are the most inspirational bunch of talented and enthusiastic people you’ll ever meet.
