Activities at Nymans and Standen

 

Not only will you find Bird Bingo at Nymans this Half Term, but on Bank Holiday Monday, you can watch open air theatre. ‘This is My Theatre’ are performing Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland on the lawn in front of the ruins. Bring a picnic or pick up something from the café. Book your tickets on www. nationaltrust.org.uk/nymans. Adult £15, under 16’s £12.

Active challenges await in Comber’s Field and kids can explore the Nymans’ natural play space. A large-scale play installation will invite you to ‘Look out! Listen up!’ to the sights and sounds of the natural environment by looking through periscopes and listening through ear horns.  Sat 23 July - Wed 31 Aug 10am – 5pm. Normal admission.

There are further open air theatre performances, late night openings as well as free admission on Sunday June 5 for The Big Jubilee Lunch at Nymans and Standen.  At Standen’s May Half Term trail you’ll discover that bees play a big role in keeping the garden thriving. Help Bertie the Bee find his way back to his hive, avoiding the obstacles and completing the challenges along the way. £2 per trail with a prize. Sat 28 May – Sun 5 June, 10am – 3.30pm. How about a lazy Sunday afternoon for all the family? Visit Standen for live music and relax with a takeaway from the Barn Café while you listen to the sounds of the seventies throughout July & August. 2pm – 4pm  www.nationaltrust.org.uk/nymans
