Multi-cultural Christmas at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre
Got that festive feeling and can’t decide where to go? Edmonton Green Shopping Centre has you covered from all bases this year from their lights switch on to fun filled Saturdays celebrating Christmas across the continents.
The shopping centre is kicking off Christmas on November 23rd with their Enchantanting EdmontON Christmas Lights switch on which will have live entertainment to delight families of all ages, cosy refreshments and the big man himself will be opening the ceremony in “Santa’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony”.
The festivities do not stop there as Edmonton will also be with 3 fun-filled Saturdays until the big day by celebrating Christmas around the world to appreciate the multicultural community in Edmonton and all the fabulous traditions (and food!) from around the world!
The first of the celebrations will be held on the 7th December and will be honouring the Afro-Carribbean style of Christmas with a vibrant afternoon of theatre and dance. The following Saturday (14th Dec) they will be travelling to the Philippines in SouthEast Asia to honour the tradition of lighting lanterns, and the final Saturday (21st Dec) before Christmas, Eastern Europe will be honoured by singing traditional Christmas Carols and having fun making festive crafts!
