Experience the joy of Christingle

Christingle is a joyous, inclusive celebration that’s perfect for all ages. This Christmas schools all across the country are gathering to mark 50 years since The Children’s Society brought Christingle to this country – and there’s still time for your school to join in the fun.

Christingle can be celebrated any time from the start of Advent (four weeks before Christmas) until Candlemas (2nd February). Whether you’d like to organise your own Christingle or attend a local one, it’s easy for you and your pupils to have an unforgettable festive experience this winter.

‘We hold the service after Christmas so it’s a lovely introduction to the term and an ideal opportunity to reflect.’ – Teacher, Cransley School

Best of all, the money raised through donations at Christingle services supports this country’s most vulnerable young people. It helps The Children’s Society run services so that children have someone to turn to when the worst has happened, and allows the charity to campaign to change the law so that young people’s lives get better.

So if you’d like to organise a Christingle in your community, visit christingle.org for free resources to find out how – or to find your nearest celebration go to christingle.org/search

Together, we can be there for children who feel alone this Christmas.
