Gibside is one of a few surviving 18th-century designed landscapes & was fashioned with two things in mind: spectacular views & ‘wow’ moments. Commissioned by coal baron George Bowes,it offers a glimpse into the past & the compelling story of heiress Mary Eleanor Bowes.
