GATHER ROUND FOR GRANDPARENTS’ DAY
Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland is teaming up with Pukka to encourage the nation to Gather Round for Grandparents’ Day
To mark this year’s National Grandparents’ Day (Sunday 3rd October 2021), Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland are partnering with Pukka for a “Gather Round for Grandparents’ Day” campaign which will raise awareness about the importance of combatting loneliness and looking out for our older family and community members. Being a long-established Leicester-based bakery, Pukka also promotes quality time with your family and so was an obvious choice of partner.
With a more positive outlook for the future, Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland are keen to re-establish those close family bonds that have been missing for such a long time. The charity continues to help those who have been isolated and fearful for more than a year to re-engage with their families, communities and support networks.
National Grandparents’ Day will be a poignant milestone for many families but for so many more it will be a welcome opportunity to sit together around a table once again and enjoy the company of wonderful older relatives and friends.
Pukka and Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland are asking you to help celebrate National Grandparents’ Day by telling us about your own grandparents.
