Gear up for World Music Day with our new Horrible Histories: The Movie resource
The Horrible Histories franchise hits the big screen on 26 July with Altitude’s Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans, and to celebrate we’ve created a brand-new cross-curricular resource and a limited number of printed packs.
With World Music Day on 21 June, our new Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romansresource will incorporate music, as well as English and history, to help 7-11 year olds explore a fascinating period of history - warts and all! The resource also includes exclusive song and video clips from the film.
Throughout our Team Roman vs. Team Celt resource, young people will explore the different groups and their histories, plus write a hilarious Horrible Histories-style song about their chosen team. They could even perform in a historical ‘Battle of the Bands’ or film music videos of their songs!
Much like the beloved franchise, our Team Roman vs. Team Celt resource is a fun, accessible and entertaining way to bring learning to life. Enriching materials in the printed pack include:
Team Roman vs. Team Celt paddles – double-sided so your students can answer quick Roman vs. Celt quiz questions, and to help them pledge their allegiance to their team in class activities
Classroom poster to showcase Team Roman vs. Team Celt team members
Leaflets for our upcoming design competition
Team Roman and Team Celt stickers to reward and incentivise students
Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans is in UK cinemas 26 July, but Altitude are offering schools the chance to enjoy the film before the official release in their local cinema from the week commencing Monday 8 July. Contact your local cinema to inquire about an advanced screening and take your film club or class to see the film before anyone else!
