A huge new inflatable assault course has arrived in Essex and this is how you can take part. Aqua Splash, which opened up next to the River Stort in Harlow, caters for anyone from the age of just 6-years-old and offers obstacles, climbing walls and slides. The course can be booked online and spectators can even take in the idyllic views of the river or relax in the cafe. Safety gear is provided by the park, including buoyancy aids, whilst the activities are supervised by trained personnel and lifeguards.
Despite the minimum age being just six, everyone at the park must be at least 1.2m tall. The park is ideal for anyone looking for a splash park in Essex and can be booked for parties, birthdays or even hen and stag dos.
Aqua Splash, which is just a short drive from Harlow town centre and the M11, is over seven days-a-week throughout the summer. From monkey bars, runways and rope swings to tri-totter, a blast pillow and a cliff edge for the most adventurous diver - there is something for everyone.
Pre-booking online costs around £15 per person, against the walk-in rate of £20. However a complete private hire with a 50-minute session stands at £1000, although discount is offered for large groups of 10 and 20, saving 10 per cent and 15 per cent respectively.
The park opened in April and will stay until September. Dogs are welcome with the family if they are kept on the lead and owners clean up after them. Under 12s have to be supervised by an adult, but one supervisor can jump in with three under 12 participants. A waiver is also signed before using the course. Changing facilities as well as showers are also on site, so customers might need to bring a towel.
