Monski Mouse's Baby Disco Dance Hall

Monski Mouse's Baby Disco Dance Hall

If you’re looking for a glittering way to work off some energy and work up an appetite this pre-lunchtime disco show is a sure fire winner.

Monski Mouse the DJ and her two dance assistants lead everyone in a wiggling, jiggling warm-up to get everyone in the mood for a good old boogie. The dancers move amongst the children showing them simple moves like jazz hands, hands in the air and spins. In minutes, there wasn’t a mummy, daddy, baby, toddler or child in the house that wasn’t busting some moves. And then in a clever twist to change it up a notch Monski Mouse spun some animal themed tracks.

First we were dinosaurs roaring around the dance floor, then ‘Love Cats’ on hands and knees with children riding on parents backs, then it was time to be bunnies, first sleeping, then hopping. And most fun of all, a giant conga at the end. There was an area with cushions on the floor for small babies, but the ones we saw were too busy bouncing up and down. Lara (4) said ‘Can we come again tomorrow?’ before we had even left the building. Douglas (2.5) found his full form for the dinosaur dance. It’s a wonderful show that lets the whole family let their hair down together. We had a (glitter) ball.
