Thank You, Tony!

Five year-old Tony is learning how to use his first ever pair of prosthetic legs, through a pledge to walk 10k in 30 days to raise funds for Evelina London.

Tony’s parents, Paula and Mark, expected him to raise £500. But, with the whole nation behind him, he has raised over £1,500,000 in total for the hospital that has looked after him since he was just five weeks old.

Amazed by Captain Tom’s walking frame fundraiser, and inspired to see someone that ‘looks like me’, Tony wanted to start a challenge of his own.

“The community has been absolutely fantastic,” said dad, Mark. Mum Paula added, “Every day the walk is taking longer and longer because more people are coming out to watch him and cheer him on.”
