Every Saturday, 10am to 1pm. Children aged 7 to 12 years are taken on a colourful journey into the gallery guided by an artist, to produce their own ambitious artwork at the end of the 5-week course. Linked to Abbot Hall’s big summer exhibition Ruskin, Turner & the Storm Cloud, children will take inspiration from the styles and themes in the exhibition as well from nature and current issues related to climate change. At the end of the course the children’s work will feature in a pop-up exhibition at the gallery during the Turner, Ruskin, & the Storm Cloud exhibition. Participants will be able to achieve an Arts Award Explore certification as part of this Art Club course. Parents are not required to stay for the sessions. Maximum 10 children per session.
