On 22 July the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year return to Wolverhampton Art Gallery. Take in some of the world’s most astonishing sights and see nature at its most staggering in this blockbuster show.

Now in its fifty-second year, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition provides a showcase for the world’s very best nature photography. The resulting exhibition is put together by the world-renowned and trusted British institution, the Natural History Museum.

This year we will be displaying more than 80 works from the full exhibition, all of them in the stunning light-box format where each image is lit from behind to increase its impact.

Animal Fun Day

22 July, 11am – 3pm

To celebrate the opening of Wildlife Photographer of the Year on 22 July we are having a day packed with fun, family-friendly activities.

Joining us on the day will be The Animal Man who will be showing off his fantastic collection of exotic animals. Many of the animals are tame and can be handled – The Animal Man and his team will be able to answer all of your questions about the mini beasts, tarantulas, snakes, amphibians, lizards and mammals on show.

Tickets cost £5 per child, including an adult place (additional adults are £2.50 each.) This includes admission to see The Animal Man, a fantastic animal glitter tattoo and a craft activity to make your own friendly animal to take home. Tickets can be bought in advance HERE.

Alongside this we have FREE activities including animal dressing up, animal masks to colour in, and a fabulous trail to help you discover more of the Gallery’s fabulous collections, exhibitions and objects.
