Discover the role children played in the industries that shaped the Lake District. This eye-opening, interactive exhibition will give families an insight into the lives of children as young as five who went out to work. Young visitors can test their speed and agility at bobbins or step back in time and enter a Victorian classroom. A great exhibition to encourage grandparents to talk to their grandchildren about what life was like when they were young. Children from a local school have helped to produce the exhibition displays with their own thoughts and artwork. The exhibition finishes looking at child labour globally in 2019 – it will make you think about what goes into the production of items each of us use today. This exhibition will get families talking. Tickets cost £5 for adults and children are FREE. For more information visit www.windermerejetty.org.
